Zadar

Zadar is a city in Croatian Dalmatia about 200 km south of Zagreb and is the fifth largest Croatian city. It is the administrative centre of the county of the same name.

It has 75,000 inhabitants, a favourable climate that favours rich vegetation and agriculture, and in winter Zadar receives cold air from the interior. Among other things, the famous maraschino liqueur is produced here.

Zadar attracts tourists not only for its excellent swimming and wide range of services, but also for its many historical monuments: the Church of St. Donatus, the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, the ancient forum, and many other mostly Romanesque and Renaissance buildings. The historic centre is dominated by the famous Kalelarga Street, and the social life is especially lively in the Fosha wharf or the Arsenal Fortress.

You will find many beautifull reastaurants in the city. Our favourite one is:  Bruschetta

You can reach Zadar by car in about 30 minutes form our resort......

Croatia's Krka National Park is a system of rapids, cascades and waterfalls under which you can swim. There is also the possibility of taking a boat trip through the Krka River canyon to the Roški slap waterfall and the Visovac islet, where the Franciscan monastery and museum are located. Krka National Park is located near the town of Sibenik and can be reached by car in about 50 minutes.... Definitely worth seeing.

Vrana Lake

Lake Vrana or also Lake Vrana (Croatian: Vransko jezero) is a natural karst lake located near the town of Pakoštane. The lake was named after the village of Vrana, located northwest of it. The eastern shore of the lake is reached by the Stankovci, Pirovac and Tisno monasteries. The lake is situated close to the shore and is separated from the Adriatic Sea by a 13 km long and 1 to 2 km wide strip of land, and can be reached on foot in 20 minutes from our resort. The lake is located at an altitude of 0.7 metres, has an area of 30.16 km² and a depth of up to 3.9 metres. It is the largest Croatian lake. The lake surroundings are crisscrossed with a large number of cycling trails and there is even a scientific bird watching station where scientists from Charles University in Prague work.
